A Admit that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23
...for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
In the book of Romans, chapter 6, verse 23, the Apostle Paul writes, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus out Lord." We all know what a wage is- something you earn by doing something, as in wages earned by working. Well, the wages for our sin, or what we earn because of our sin is death. Not physical death, but spiritual death. God created each of us for a purpose: to have a personal relationship with Him (Genesis 1:2). But because of the sin in our lives, we fall short of God's glory and have been separated from Him.
B Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
John 1:12
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
Because God loves each of us so much, He provided a way for us to have eternal life. And the best part- It's a gift! "God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners" (Romans 5:8). Nearly 2000 years ago, a sacrifice was made, a sacrifice that would allow each of us to have a relationship with God again. That sacrifice was made by Jesus Christ.
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6.
C Confess that Jesus is Lord
Romans 10:9
If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
While God's gift of eternal life is free, it takes an action on our part to receive it: a confession and belief.
